About Metevix
We build website intelligence: software that crawls a site, works out which of its problems actually cost traffic, and checks that the fixes held.
What we do
Most technical SEO tooling produces a list. A list of four hundred issues is not a plan — it is a different kind of problem, because nothing in it tells you which three things to do first.
Metevix exists to answer that question. It crawls a site, models what it found, scores every finding against the URLs it touches and the traffic on those URLs, and returns an ordered list with the change to make attached to each item. On the next crawl it checks whether each fix actually worked.
How the analysis works
Our crawler fetches pages the way a search engine does, then runs each response through analysers covering technical SEO, indexability, internal linking, performance, security and AI crawler readiness. The last of those matters more each year: retrieval bots behind ChatGPT, Perplexity and Claude often do not execute JavaScript, so a site can be perfectly visible to Googlebot and completely invisible to them.
The crawler identifies itself honestly, respects robots.txt, and rate-limits itself. We do not attempt to access anything that is not publicly served.
Our editorial standards
We publish 8 technical guides on the blog, and they follow rules we hold ourselves to:
- Every claim is testable. Where we assert how a crawler behaves, we say how to verify it yourself — usually with a command you can run.
- We mark uncertainty as uncertainty. Search engines rarely confirm ranking mechanics. Where something is inference, we label it as inference rather than presenting it as fact.
- No content written to fill space. Each guide exists because a specific problem kept recurring in real audits.
- We correct things. When a guide becomes wrong, we revise it and change its modification date rather than quietly deleting it.
Who we are
Metevix is built by a small team of engineers who spent years on the other side of these reports — receiving them, and being asked to implement them. That experience shapes the product: every finding is written to be actionable by the person who will actually change the code.
Metevix is established in the United Kingdom.
