Terms of Service
The agreement between you and Metevix covering use of this site and the audit tools it provides.
Last updated August 29, 2026
1. Acceptance
By using metevix.com or any tool on it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. What the service does
Metevix crawls a website you specify, analyses what it finds, and returns a report of technical issues ranked by estimated impact. The analysis is automated. It is diagnostic information, not professional advice, and you remain responsible for deciding what to change on your own site.
3. Acceptable use
You may submit a site for analysis only if you are entitled to do so. Specifically, you agree not to:
- Submit a domain you neither own nor have permission to test, where doing so would breach that site’s terms or applicable law.
- Use the service to overload, disrupt or denial-of-service any third party, or to circumvent rate limits, access controls or
robots.txtdirectives. - Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, or to resell, scrape or systematically extract the service.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
We may rate-limit, suspend or block access where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached.
4. Crawling behaviour
Our crawler identifies itself honestly, respects robots.txt, and applies conservative rate limits. It does not attempt to bypass authentication or access content that is not publicly served.
5. Intellectual property
The site, its software, and the written guides published on it are owned by Metevix and protected by copyright. You may read, quote and link to our articles with attribution; you may not republish them in full without permission.
Reports generated about your own site are yours to use however you wish.
6. Availability
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may change or discontinue features. Free tools may be limited or withdrawn at any time.
7. Disclaimer
Automated analysis is inherently incomplete. We do not warrant that a report identifies every issue on a site, that every finding is applicable, or that acting on a finding will produce any particular search ranking, traffic or revenue outcome. Search engines and AI systems change their behaviour without notice and are outside our control.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Metevix is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost traffic or lost data, arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the revision date above will change when we do. These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, and the courts of the United Kingdom have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
Questions about these terms: hello@metevix.com.
